Rediscover the 80s commemorates today, October 25th, as Jason Gross day!
Jason Gross who was the founder of Rediscover the 80s and co-founder of The Retro Network (Geekster Media) passed away on October 25th, 2023 at the age of 46. He continues to be close in our hearts as we, his immediate family, deeply and forever miss him. The 1980s guru and music connoisseur enveloped himself in the pop culture while leaving a lasting and indelible impression on all of those within the retro community.
Equally, he was a profound family man who was elated to be a father and devoted husband all while being a Christian man. His faith, his kindheartedness, and outwardly nature enabled him to be a person to admire and for his children epitomize. Growing up with Jason, I can attest that he was a great friend to all who knew him.
Jason thoroughly enjoyed sports, particularly basketball as he played center for our school, the Clearfield Alliance Christian School. Likewise, since he hailed from Pennsylvania, he relished watching the sports teams duke it out on the respective fields of play to include: Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Penn State Nittany Lion Football, along with a few other sports teams like the LA Lakers and the Raiders.
We invite you to listen to the previous episodes within the Rediscover the 80s podcast library, particularly the Memory Jogger episodes wherein you will hear numerous stories. To accompany the audio podcasts, we offer up our Memory Jogger the Movie to see where we grew up while continuing to learn a bit about our dear friend Jason Gross. In addition, we are sharing a few photos here to correspond to our tribute podcast along with a link to his memorial service held at Gateway Baptist Church.
Jason Gross ... we all love and miss you tremendously! We know that you are in Heaven and we know that we will see you again. Until then, you will remain near and dear in our hearts and memories. We continue to keep your memory, your works, and your legacy alive.
