Welcome to your weekly news update for retro pop culture headlines, the Recurrent Events! This was a pretty big week for RD80s. I didn't expect it to come together so quickly but my first memoir went live earlier this week. Biking To Buzzards And Other '80s Childhood Adventures is now available exclusively on Amazon. It's filled with several short stories and memories from my childhood in rural Pennsylvania.
Also this week I launched the latest Watch & Win Giveaway featuring two Star Wars Black Series action figures courtesy our friends at Entertainment Earth. You have until Oct 18 at 12am to enter the contest so click the link to get your entries now!
Finally, I'm proud to announce a new show as part of the Rediscover the 80s Podcast. My longtime friend Wyatt and I will be diving brain first into the past with our new Memory Jogger Podcast which will feature our memories and experiences as far back as we can remember. There will be a theme to each show and we'll essentially let our brains guide us to specific memories. We won't be exclusively talking about the 1980s, but you can expect a heavy dose since those were our formative years. The first episode is now live introducing the concept of the show and our background. We hope you'll listen this week and let us know what you think!

Sploid introduced me to this short animated film titled Mall 84 this week. I thought it was fun in a Goldbergs kinda way since there are references that don't match up with 1984. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy remembering the mall atmosphere.
