Hey, you guys!!! 2015 marks the 30th anniversary of one of my favorite '80s movies The Goonies!! From the truffle shuffle to the One-eyed Willie's treasure map to "Sloth Love Chunk!", I have so many great memories of this film stored away since my childhood.
I wanted to celebrate this milestone in my own unique way. I'm planning to host some giveaways this year, but I'm starting out by offering one of my original designs on a t-shirt! I've dabbled with graphic design over the past couple years, creating images for the RD80s blog and other ventures. I've also released some t-shirt and sticker designs to those online print shops like CafePress and Zazzle, but have never been satisfied with the purchase cost. I've not been looking to collect a 2nd income on my designs, but just wanted to offer some affordable stuff that other '80s nuts like me might want to collect.
So I've decided to try my first crowdfunding project! Using TeeSpring, my "30 Years Of Never Say Die!" tribute to The Goonies has been brought to life. Through Jan 19, you can purchase a Hanes tagless shirt in black for just $11. Plus if you are into long-sleeve shirts like I am, you can upgrade to a Gildan 6oz long sleeve shirt in black for $6 more. TeeSpring's shipping is $3.85 for US domestic service with $1 for each additional shirt ordered. International shipping also available.
Visit TeeSpring.com/NeverSayDie30th to order one now before Jan 19. I've set the goal at just 30 shirts, so please spread the word if you decide to snag one! If the campaign reaches it's goal, shirts should be delivered by the end of the January.
Whether you buy a shirt or not, I'd love to hear what you think about the design in the comments! I've got a couple more designs I'd like to do this year if there is enough interest.
On another note, I've created new RD80s entity called Rad! '80s Stuff that will feature deals/contests/news/etc. on stuff like toys, t-shirts, and movies to add to your '80s collections! The new feeds are available now so like the Rad '80s Stuff Facebook Page and follow @Rad80sStuff on Twitter.
