The Weekly Links: Rainbow Brite and Care Bears Rebooted, E.T. Concept Art, Stay Puft Scented Vinyl

Welcome to another edition of The Weekly Links, your weekly source for the best '80s content on the web! More reboots, anniversaries, and Halloween treats are scattered throughout this week's links as we reach the mid point of October.

Here are a few things I personally learned this week:

• Pee-Wee Herman almost started a Halloween tradition on Late Night with David Letterman.
• Metro L.A. took tips from Miami Vice for their new trip planning app promo video.
• Brad Pitt and Jimmy Fallon had a break dance conversation this week.
• You can't go wrong with a Kurt Russell '80s costume, but there is plenty to choose from this year.
• When did G.I. Joe recruit Deadpool to take out Cobra?
• Mac computing has come a long way since 1985.
• I can understand seagulls singing Flock of Seagulls, but why are goats singing Tina Turner?
• Ghostbusters and Pac-man are my favorite mashup and I found another reason why.

I haven't watched American Idol since probably its 2nd season so I have no clue who Blake Lewis is, but he definitely caught my attention yesterday. The show's alum just launched a retro-tastic music video featuring Mr. Belding and a slew of '80s references which made it an easy choice for Video of the Week. Toys, video games, George Michael and Max Headroom costumes...enjoy!
