The Weekly Links: Space Invaders Movie, TMNT Art Show, Muppet Babies Slow Jam

Time once again for my favorite part of the week...The Weekly Links! You simply won't be able to top this '80s nostalgia experience, unless you took a live mannequin for a motorcycle ride (and if that's the case, let me know where you work.) The internet gave us some great retro goodies this past week. Here's what I learned:

• Skeletor, Falcor from The Neverending Story, and Scooby-Dum were all voiced by the same guy.
• "Case of the Killer Pizzas" is my favorite TMNT episode and got to showcase it on The Strange Kids Club Roundtable.
• Mark Wahlberg might be playing Rowdy Roddy Piper in his upcoming biopic. I think that could work.
• Simple Minds does an awesome cover of Massive Attack's "Teardrop."
• The Avengers on NES would be a pretty fun game.
• Photoshopping the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in famous movie scenes is also a fun game.
• There are two subtle references to Rambo in Weekend at Bernie's.
• The Ghostbusters website has a new look.
• All 30 episodes of VH1's "I Love the '80s" TV series are on YouTube.
• The Google Play store continues to give away hit singles from the '80s and the latest is Prince's "Batdance."

My favorite video this week was an easy but painful choice. It was easy because the Kids React videos are always very entertaining with modern kids reacting to retro stuff. But it's also getting more painful to watch because it made me feel old! The Turtles can't be that old...I mean they're still teenagers, right? And if they can still claim to be teenagers after 30 years well then daggumit, so am I!
